As we are all becoming more and more aware, this global health crisis is rapidly evolving. We continue to do our best to fulfill orders in the timely manner you have come to expect from us. We are currently still shipping all live goods Monday through Wednesday as well as select USPS orders on Saturday. Orders with only dry goods are shipping Monday through Friday with no delays.


In addition to staying informed of weather and other typical considerations, we are keeping a close eye on the impacts to the supply chain, particularly as they relate to our outbound shipping carriers. Though we are still shipping regularly and staying informed, certain changes in the supply chain necessitate changes to our guarantee policy. As a result, we are hereby not responsible for delays in delivery, nor can we guarantee viability of live goods, due to the complexity of various carriers' response to COVID-19/coronavirus. Please, please be mindful of the shipping method you select as well as related specific delays in your area. (Some areas are no longer receiving daily deliveries from USPS, for example.)

When the following terms and conditions are followed,Glass Box Tropicals guarantees that your plants* and/or microfauna** will not only arrive alive and healthy, but that they will stay alive and healthy for at least 7 days after you receive them.


For the Arrive Healthy and Stay Healthy Guarantee™ to apply to your order the following terms must be met:

  • Choose the correct shipping method for your purchase as outlined below in the chart

  • Sign for your package on the first attempted delivery or have it held at a USPS or FedEx location and pick it up the same day that it arrives at the location

  • Follow the care instructions for the product that you are receiving as outlined by either the articles in the Resource Center or the care sheet included in each order for plants

Glass Box Tropicals grows plants specifically to go into terrariums and similar type environments that are often already containing animals such as poison dart frogs and geckos. Due to this, we do not use fertilizer, fungicide or pesticides on any of the plants that we propagate and ship to customers. Due to this, our plants occasionally have fungus gnats and other pests that are not considered to be harmful to a terrarium environment and we do not guarantee against them. Fungus gnats are a pest that naturally show up in a terrarium but typically disappear in less than a week similar to how mold shows up on almost all wood that is put into a terrarium.



Claims:

To file a claim, you will need to email sales@glassboxtropicals.com within 1 day of receiving your shipment for any issue involving a carrier. For an issue involving a plant after it has arrived you must email within 7 days of arrival. In the email please include the following:

  • Order number

  • Picture of the dead plant and/or microfauna

  • Picture of the area/container the plant and/or microfauna was being kept
