General Information and Care: Sinningia muscicola is one of a handful of micro-mini plants that we offer. To get this notation, the leaves all stay under 1" even when completely mature. The overall plant may grow to be several inches in diameter, but this is only due to its mounding tendencies. This species prefers medium to high light, and medium to high moisture. It has shown an ability to be grown both epiphytically or terrestrial, and does not seem to show a preference to one or the other. This species has light purple flowers. Additionally, the leaves on this species have amazing dark green markings. One of the best things about this species is its ability to self seed and do so extremely readily. Each flower can produce more than 20 seeds. However if you are trying to harvest the seeds, it should be noted that they are as fine as dust and if you even sneeze while handling them or there is a light breeze in the room they will disappear.

*These are true micro-mini plants and are very small and do not have extensive root systems. They may drop leaves during shipping or as soon as you plant them, but this is not a sign they are dead or dessicating. These grow from tubers, so just be patient and you will see new leaves start to come and flowers to quickly follow.
