General Information and Care: Scaphosepalum cimex is a species that is extremely well suited to terrarium culture. It enjoys warmer temperatures along with being constantly moist. Those two qualities basically describe the perfect easy to care for terrarium species! This species stays small, with leaves typically under 3" in length. Additionally, the flowers are a gorgeous orange with red speckling. The flowers are the reason for the name of this species, in Latin, cimex means "a bug" which is because the flowers look like they have antennae similar to that of insects!
