General Information and Care: Restrepia cymbula makes an excellent addition to a terrarium. Glass Box Tropicals rates this as a medium size orchid for terrarium culture, meaning it is about 4-6â in height and width. This orchid can still easily fit in most any setup. The leaves and the flowers really draw people in. As you can see in the picture, the flower is breathtaking! When the plant is not in flower, the leaves add amazing interest to a terrarium landscape as well. This orchid does best when mounted epiphytically, meaning mounted on a piece of wood or rock in your hardscape. It should be noted that this species does not like to dry out for long periods of time.
