General Information and Care: Begonia bipinnatifida is one of the most unique foliage options that Glass Box Tropicals offers! This plant is rarely seen for sale, so do not pass up the opportunity when it is in stock! This Begonia sp. offers a very unique finely textured foliage that is dark green with a deep red to almost maroon coloration on the stems and underside of the leaves. This plant prefers a warm, humid environment and occasionally produces bright pink flowers.

This Begonia is one of the more particular species that Glass Box Tropicals offers. It does not appreciate cold water, nor does it like water to be constantly on its leaves. It is also prone to dropping all of it leaves for no apparent reason. Often, those leaves may root though so they should not be moved or discarded if possible. Overall a species recommended for the more experienced plant enthusiast.

This plant is guaranteed to arrive alive; however, it does not come with the 7-day guarantee due to the extremely demanding nature of this plant.

Glass Box Tropicals Plant Care Rating: 7

Shipped Size: Well rooted plant that has been grown in a 2.5" pot. Will be shipped bareroot.

    Nice Packaging and Great Quality

Posted by Christine Chang on Apr 13th 2021

The plant I received came promptly after I received a shipping notification and was packaged extremely well! I usually expect loose soil when I order plants, but that was not the case with this. The heat pack it was shipped with was also still warm upon arrival which I was very grateful for. The plant itself was healthy, and upright when I received it with very minimal signs of transportation shock. I noticed quickly that this Begonia was beginning to limp when the humidity was around 60%. I placed it in a cloche where it lives now, and it is very happy and showing some signs of new growth. I will definitely be ordering again!
